I like the idea of a media package as you outlined. I was wondering how to chunk my stories and you added a good point to that. You answered this question to me. So as soon as I chunk the story I have to find a meaningful path for the newborn chunks. Thanks for this gem!

[...] As Andy Dickinson explains it, this is a non-linear approach. Because unlike with TV or radio your user can enter the story at any point they choose: this might be the interview with the witness - or it might be, more specifically, the chunk where they describe what they saw. It might be raw footage of the aftermath. It might be the contextual information. [...]

[...] Moving from TV to Online by andydickinson.net “We have a phrase in TV that simple packages are clip- link-clip-link. I know it reduces the medium to its basic principle but you see the idea.
You're right - in my case at least. Languishing as a teacher/wanting to share and begin producing my own stories again. Step one: learned how to set up a blog. Sure, was already online, but with no purpose. The blog was the focus...videojournalism was the content. Have lots of content (prior knowledge) Still working on the non-linear part, which may be solved once the website is up.

Maybe it should read - go online, content (gather information), then nonlinear (present in as many variables as possible so you appeal to as many viewers as possible).
