- Another day wasted as I turn to the Twittering classes – “In summary, I’ve learned nothing and neither have you. But it’s passed some time. And that’s Twitter all over.” Charlie Brooker sums up twitter in his usual way.
- The Public Editor – Reporting in Real Time – Op-Ed – NYTimes.com – “The Internet is The Times’s future. But the Kennedy saga is a sharp reminder that a newspaper that prides itself on getting things right must exercise great discipline before pushing the button on a fast-breaking story.”

- Tip of the day from Journalism.co.uk – locate an existing community before launching a new one – “Online communities: Looking to launch a blog, forum or online community for your readers or users? Do your research and see what social media your community is already engaged with.” What may seem like the bleedin’ obvious is a top tip from Laura. Your community may already be out there
- Sky News sees ‘opportunity’ in regional news websites – Press Gazette – I would imagine this yet another opportunity for newspaper groups to miss a chance to work with broadcast.

- E-readers: Why won’t the future hurry up and get here already? – Arrrrgh – apparently epaper is the only way to save the newspaper industry.
- Google Releases Sync for iPhone and Windows Mobile – Push Gmail Coming Soon? – ReadWriteWeb – Google goodness for the iphone
- Links for today | Links para hoje « O Lago | The Lake – Just a whole boat load of interesting links from Alex
- Regret the Error free accuracy checklist – A neat little form that “Reporters can use the checklist to help achieve accuracy in their work.”
- Yahoo Putting Jumpcut In The Deadpool? – This is a shame but perhaps a savvy move. Shift the technology to the places where there is proven community who interact – Flickr seems to fit the bill. So will we see the jumpcut technology integrated in to flickr in the same way as picnic.
