I've been using a Flip Mino for a couple of years now and I love it. I use a small home made fig rig to keep it steady. It's akin to mounting it in the middle of a steering wheel. That way extra accessories can be attached if required, like a mic or some small lights. It also allows me to hold it very steady and move quickly as my hands are further apart when shooting.

I'm about to get a Canon 7d for work as I progress into HD filmmaking but I'll hang onto my Flip so that I can attach it to things. I'm about to make a short film about high speed remote control cars and I'll use the Flip to mount on one of the vehicles and use the footage as picture in picture, for example.

I will make a quick tutorial on my fig rig in the coming weeks should anyone be interested in making one.

It's a brilliant little camera. I made a documentary film with mine on the G20 Demo last April. You can see it at http://paultreacy.com/video along with several more Flip shorts.

Now, if only Flip would add an external mic socket. That would be well cool, would it not? Flip, are you listening?
